Want to know the secret to making the Turkish towel super absorbent?
Pre-wash/soak
It's imperative to wash a Turkish towel before use.If you don't, you will be left with a stiff, un-absorbent towel that leaves you felling like you have dried your dishes or hands with an old t-shirt. Not a feeling of bliss.
*If you really want to get those fibres thirsty, soak the towels overnight in cool water to fast-track your towels maximum absorption.
Hang to dry
If you're used to using heavy-duty setting and blasting your towels with bleach and fabric softeners, hold your horses.Turkish towels need a delicate touch. You can machine wash and dry your towels, but use care. Turn your machine's setting gentle and add just a small amount of detergent.
Too much soap or detergent can make any cotton based fabric feel stiff and scratchy. Once your towels are done being pampered in a delicate, hang and let them air dry.
Do not tumble dry as high heat can make the cotton fibres angry.Avoid high heat at all costs. Turkish towels are durable, but they all need a little TLC when it comes to laundering.
